About NovaSapien Labs — Boulder's Al-Native Agency
NovaSapien Labs is an AI agency based in Boulder, Colorado, founded by Joshua Groth. We combine AI product engineering with AI-powered growth marketing to help startups, SMBs, and established brands build digital products and grow their visibility in the age of AI search.
The name “NovaSapien” means “new human” — a nod to our belief that AI does not replace human intelligence but amplifies it. Everything we build starts with real human problems and uses AI to solve them faster, smarter, and at scale.
Our Story
NovaSapien Labs grew out of Boulder’s tech ecosystem — one of the most innovative startup communities in the United States. Our founder Joshua Groth spent years building businesses at the intersection of technology and trust, including pioneering Bitcoin self-custody education and wallet recovery services. That work taught a foundational lesson: the most powerful technology is useless if people cannot access it, understand it, or find it.
That insight became the foundation of NovaSapien Labs. We saw Colorado businesses struggling with two connected problems. First, they needed modern digital products — SaaS platforms, AI-powered tools, e-commerce stores — but could not find agencies that understood both the technology and the business strategy. Second, AI search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews were replacing traditional Google searches, and most businesses had no idea how to stay visible.
NovaSapien Labs was built to solve both problems under one roof. We engineer AI products and we market them using AI-powered strategies.
